Apple Samsung to lead the Indian tablet market

The latest data released by CyberMedia Research report showed that the surge in the third and fourth quarters of the Indian market tablet purchase rate, annual tablet shipments increased to 3.11 million in 2012. The fourth quarter Tablet shipments of up to 1.09 million higher in the third quarter to 1.1 million.

But here to be noted that the tablet device CyberMedia Research report refers to a screen size greater than or equal to 5-inch device, (i.e. Phablet device), which means that in most of the above-mentioned data include the device into which the main smart phones, such as Samsung G alaxy Note II or Huawei's Ascend Mate.

Samsung occupy 25.1% of the total volume of domestic firms in India Micromax ranked second, the proportion was 14.3%, slightly behind Apple came in third, was 9.1%. However, if only statistical seven inches and larger equipment shipments, Apple and Samsung are lost to Micromax. Micromax, Apple and Samsung in the 7-inch market shipments share were 17.07%, 10.88% and 10.39%.

The analysts believe that, although Samsung With Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II pre-emptive strike in the market, but in the long run this is not a sustainable development strategy. As Apple continues to "intervene", Phablet markets in the foreseeable future will be increasingly fierce competition.

A design direction of the smartphone screen bigger the better, but Phablet different or tablet, can not be treated equally. We can see from the above statistics, India the market Phablet equipment demand is really strong, while in 2013 the market will allow us to more clearly see the difference between these two types of devices. When the tablet market in India is perhaps the Apple iPad and iPad mini.
